INDOOR ONLY HOMES PLEASE Marston was dumped at Aldergate Dog Park in Menifee. He has the agouti fur pattern but he is a domestic pet rabbit. There are tons of wild cottontail rabbits at the dog park. Cruel, ignorant people often dump domestic rabbits with wild cottontail rabbits thinking they can survive. Marston was rescued on October 4, 2022. He stood out like a sore thumb. He didn't run for cover like all the wild cottontails did. He was easy to rescue. It took is less than five minutes. He was neutered on July 8, 2023. He is a shy rabbit who will need a patient person to adopt him. Marston should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. Marston can have that as his homebase or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it. Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit. Marston can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. Delivery is available up to 100 miles from Lake Elsinore. PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!
