Meet ShelbyIntroducing Shelby! Shelby is a beautiful Labrador Retriever who is approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 54 pounds. We rescued her from the Weslaco shelter in south Texas near the border of Mexico where she was surrendered by her previous owner. It was very evident that this sweet gal was not very well cared for in her previous life but all of that is behind her now. We are so happy that she is here with us and can’t wait to help her find her forever home that will show her nothing but kindness and love. Shelby is a sweet and gentle girl! She has a little warm up period when meeting new friends, but once she knows you will be kind to her, her happy personality emerges and she loves to get attention. Shelby gets along with the other dogs in her playgroup and is having fun exploring her new surroundings here at the rescue. She is treat motivated and gentle walking on the leash. We can really see her settling in well in just about any family environment that can give her lots of exercise and regular playtime. She is just a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call her own! Shelby is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application.
